Original Item: Only One Available. This Musket was found in Kathmandu and was part of our 2003 Nepalese Palace purchase. It is an English made third model Brown Bess Musket with a 39″ barrel bearing British Proof marks. The lock is marked with the East India Company Heart Logo to center and dated 1806. Across the tail is the British Maker’s name WRIGHT, who we understand is Robert Wright of LONDON who worked from 1800 until 1835.
The stock when discovered was completely worm eaten and crumbed away so the Musket has been restocked most beautifully, using it’s original mounts resulting in a most attractive musket ready to display. This is a great chance to own an original British-Made and proofed Brown Bess Third Model musket.
