Original Item: Only One Available. This just came out of the attic after a hundred years of storage together with a couple of hundred other guns. It is a nice example of the basic grade of percussion fowling piece, single barrel with back action lock. It has minimal engraving, not even a Maker’s signature, however received with a tag stating RICHARD HOLLIS who had a shop in London between 1790 and 1850. It may just be that his mark is under the barrel or the lock plate and cannot be seen without taking the gun apart.
The basic Gamekeeper’s gun that has been in storage for over 100 years and could do with just a good cleaning before going on display.
