Original Item. Only One Available. This is an impressive Bayonet, complete with all the accoutrements needed for parade use. It is Austrian M-1895 Mannlicher Rifle bayonet, measuring 14″ in overall length with a 10″ blade. It has a hook quillion (regular issue had no quillion, just a barrel ring) and the wood grip bears a small plaque bearing a crown over a coat of arms. The bayonet comes with its original scabbard with its leather belt frog with two gilt embroidered hanging loops.
The mounts and scabbard are nickel plated indicating that this was intended for full parade use. There are no markings on the weapon and the pommel swivel
still bears the heavily gilt Portepee (sword knot).
Fully correct and original, ready to display.
