Original Item. Only One Available. This is a fantastic example of a British-made Clasp knife issued to Australian Cavalrymen as part of their personal equipment during WWI. Each knife is fitted with a ‘Sheep’s Foot’ Blade, (Sheep’s Foot denotes the blade shape), and a Marlin Spike for use in knot tying and untying. The Marlin Spike, as every English schoolboy knows, was also used to ‘remove stones from Horse’s hooves’, something more relevant in Victorian England.
The knife is in fair shape without markings as many of these often were. This example comes with its original lanyard which is in fantastic shape for its age. The marlin spike functions perfectly but the tip shows as a bit bent. A fantastic example overall!
