Original Item: Only One Available. This is a lovely framed print of Robert Taylor’s painting FURY OF ASSAULT, matted and put into a museum grade frame measuring 33 ½” x 28 ¾”. The frame itself has a lovely “rusted steel” pattern on the front, which is quite apt. This is number 157/700 of a “LIMITED EDITION” run of these prints made for collectors, and will make a fantastic display piece on any wall. This and many other prints were published by The Military Gallery in Wendover England over the past 20+ years.
When Luftwaffe bombers first appeared in force in the night skies over London in September 1940 they heralded the beginning of The Blitz – the most sustained period of concentrated bombing aimed at British cities during WWII. The painting is set in December of 1941 in the night skies over London, and Robert Taylor’s artistry brings to life the frightening scenario of the Luftwaffe’s night bombing campaign. The city is once again under concentrated attack, and large areas of the city are already ablaze. Meanwhile, the armada of German bombers is clearly visible in the night sky as they sweep across the city. However hope is not lost, as a lone Hurricane night-fighter from 85 Squadron, based at nearby Gravesend, engages Heinkel 111s of KG55 in a desperate attempt to break up the formations.
This is described in the paragraph below the framed print, which reads:

Also included is the Certificate of Authenticity from the MILITARY GALLERY, which gives a much more detailed description of the service for each veteran. Along with this is also the original brochure from when the print was announced. Both of these fit nicely into a paper slot on the back of the frame, making this a fantastic collector’s opportunity!
A great display item ready for further research and display!
