Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very nice example of a mid 19th Century French percussion pistol, most likely made and customized for a French Army Officer. These were often bespoke, and over the years, unfortunately markings often wore away, such as on this example. However it is still really is a most elegant officer’s pistol.
It has fine walnut wood stock which is checkered on the grip. It is equipped with full brass mounts, with an wooden ramrod. It has a nice .51″ caliber 1/3 octagonal barrel, a very popular style at the time. We checked out the lock, and it functions correctly, holding at half cock and firing at full.
A very nice mid 19th century French officer’s pistol, ready to display!
