Original Item: Only One Item Available. We suspect that this could be a Spanish or even German late 18th century hunting bayonet used when hunting for wild boar. It could, however, be earlier and perhaps even English.
A nine-inch double-sided blade, now clean, but showing several areas of old pitting, tapered wood shaft hilt mounted in a silvered white metal, probably German silver with original silver mounted black leather scabbard and belt loop added during it’s working life.
Overall length 14.5 inches.
Most attractive for use as a plug bayonet or dagger the silver mounts with matching decoration pattern on both dagger and scabbard.
