Original item: Only One Available This is in just splendid condition, having spent most of the past 100 years in a Regimental Museum display. It is a standard socket bayonet used by His Majesty’s forces in North America and across the Empire and throughout the Napoleonic Wars. Just a bit of surface rust on the blade, exactly as it was in the museum.
The bayonet is maker marked to JOHN-GILL on the 16″ blade, with an overall length 20 1/2″. Designed for the .75 bore Brown Bess Musket, which was in service for over 100 years as the primary long arm of the British Empire.
