Original Item: Only One Available. A very interesting U.S. made Percussion “Boot” Pistol manufactured in the 1830s by the Bacon Manufacturing Company of Norwich, Connecticut.
Measuring 13 inches in overall length, this slender pistol is nicely maker marked on the octagonal flat of the rear portion of the 6-inch barrel and also marked Cast Steel” on another flat with Serial No.35.
The boot pistol was considered one of the ultimate personal defense weapons of the day as it could be inserted and concealed in a man’s boot for easy quick access. Makes a wonderful conversation piece.
