These weapons did not utilize Butt Stocks or Bipods when installed inside the tank, However in the event of the tank becoming disabled a separate Butt Stock and clamp on Foresight assembly with bipod mount slot and bipod were stored inside the tank for converting the weapon to infantry use so the Tank Crew had some sort of personal weapons while making their way by foot back to the German line.
This particular MG 34 Panzer Display Machine gun is coded “dot” for BRNO manufacture and dated 1944. The top cover is the type to accept the MG 15 saddle drum magazine and and one is fitted in place.
This example does not come with the standard bipod but is fitted with a vehicle mount directly in front of the receiver in the center of gravity bipod position.
