Original Item: Remanufactured WW2-type 7.92 x 57 mm cartridges in an original 50-round belt. In this new offering, IMA is including an original starter tab and the two extra cartridges it requires. Great to display with your MG 34 or MG 42 display guns. The belt with dummy ammunition and starter tab are a perfect complement to a display MG 34 or MG 42; used correctly with a belt drum (Gurttrommel), the combination creates a truly exciting display. When originally used by the Wehrmacht, the correct set-up of the belt drum with ammunition included a starter tab that is tucked into the square trap on the exterior of the drum for transport. The basis of German WW2 belts for the famous MG 34 and MG 42 universal machine guns was a 50-round non-disintegrating section. These sections could be linked together to create belts of any length.
IMA has a very small quantity of 50-round belts complete with starter tabs, and 52 dummy 8-mm German cartridges. The dummy cartridges are made up from fired 8-mm cases with military 8-mm German projectiles. The projectiles have cupronickel jackets, which were used extensively in both world wars. (Very Good/Excellent Condition) Few Only.
