New Made Item: Actually manufactured in the early 1990s this is a reproduction of the solid BRASS sword hilt for what was commonly referred to as “the Roman Sword” or Gladius. The U.S. also faithfully copied this model as evident in the Model 1841 Short Sword. However, instead of the American Eagle impressed into the pommel the original French model bore the French Royal “Fleur De Lis” (Lily) emblem.
Our reproduction is just as the originals, made of solid brass, with grip grooves and cross guard and is complete with sword tang aperture that should accommodate virtually any spare sword blade you might have.
Just think of the possibilities!
