Vintage Replica Item: Only One Available. This is a fantastic high quality British WWII Enfield No 2 Mk I revolver. “Plug Fire” replica gun, made by the well-known model gun manufacturers, Nakata of Japan. This is, by far, one of the absolute best examples of one of these collectible Nakata Pistols we have ever had the pleasure of offering! Comes with original box, which in itself is difficult to find!
The pistol operates the same as a real TT-30 pistol when used with the cap/plug fire cartridges. We have not tested the pistol, so we cannot guarantee functionality. Everything appears to work fine, with the exception that the pistol only dry fires using double action, which may very well have been a design Nakata intended.
The Enfield No. 2 was a British top-break revolver using the .38 S&W round manufactured from 1930 to 1957. It was the standard British/Commonwealth sidearm in the Second World War, alongside the Webley Mk IV and Smith & Wesson Victory Model revolvers chambered in the same caliber.
The replica comes with an excellent condition original 1960s box. These work with replica “cartridges”, which have small caps “plugged” into the front of them, which are then detonated by the replica bolt. These were ejected like real spent cartridges, and could be reloaded with additional caps. Unfortunately the original caps were used and sadly lost long ago.
A perfect addition to the Model Gun Collector or the WWII Collector alike!
