Original Item: The Vickers Medium Machine Gun was used often for indirect fire much like an artillery piece, especially during the First World War. In order to set the gun up for indirect fire, it must be initially leveled, so part of the kit of each gun included a level. We have a few of these tools, manufactured by two different makers, Stanley and Rabone. All have the British Ordnance broad arrow acceptance mark. This is the Rabone.
