Original Item: The repair tool for the Vickers fabric ammunition belt is basically a rivet setter. Between each cartridge in the belt was a brass strip, and every third strip was longer and extended past the front edge of the belt. The extra length was provided as a gauge to identify where the tip of the bullet should be. The strips were fixed to the belt with small brass rivets
IMA has a very few of the tools and some original rivets and long strips. The rivets are packaged in bags of about 0.5 oz, which will have at least 50 rivets. The brass long strips are package 12 to a bag.
Tool only, rivets and strips sold separately.
