Original Item: One Only! The Vickers-Berthier light machine gun was a very close contender in the interwar trials that led to the adoption of the BREN gun by Great Britain. Britain?s colonial Indian Army, however, decided to adopt the V-B rather than wait for the British Army?s BREN gun requirements to be completed. (Ian V. Hogg, Machine Guns, Krauss Publications 2002, pp. 106-107) IMA has found three only butt stock woods for the Vickers-Berthier Mark 3 gun. These have no metal parts and look as if they were never used, although all are dirty from storage.
V-B stock with recess for brass marking disk and chip at socket end (One Only)
