Original Items: Only One Set Available. This is an excellent example of a Medical Officer Model 1936 Feldbluse tunic and pants. This beautiful tunic is offered in very good condition. The tunic itself is made of a medium weight field gray/green wool. The front closes with five aluminum pebbled buttons. The bullion Army breast eagle is stitched to the chest in a fashion typical of wartime German work. The eagle has some loss of bullion in two areas. The collar tabs are correct for the rank and machine applied. The officer shoulderboards have a light blue piping and are neatly and tightly applied. There are two gilt number 6’s on each board.
The exterior of this tunic is clean, retaining virtually all of the original wool nap, and showing very minor spots of staining or fading. There are multiple award loops to the front. These look to be from an Iron Cross 1939, Eastern Front Medal, Anschluss Medal, and a Czech Conquest Medal.
The inside of this Army tunic is fully lined with rayon, as is typical. The interior of the M36 style dark green badge cloth collar has clasps for affixing a collar bind. Hidden belt hooks are also present.
Also included are a high quality pair of feldgrau officer wool gabardine Jodhpurs (breeches) in excellent condition. They are of WWII Period Swiss manufacture, with a label marked SCHWEIZ UNIFORMENFABRIK / BERN – ZURICH – GENF. While officially “neutral”, Switzerland did supply numerous items to Germany during the war. The pants look to have been repaired, and the zippers on the bottom of the legs were replaced with British “Kynoch” brand zippers post war.
Overall a fantastic condition Medical Officer Uniform!
