Original Item: Only One Set of 2 Available. This is a very nice set of German WWII Heer Oberstleutnant‘s (Lieutenant Colonel’s) Schulterstücken (Shoulderboards) with a single “pip” or star in the silver bullion Russia braid. This rank is equivalent to the U.S. Lt. Colonel, above the rank of Major but below the “Full” colonel. There are also gold roman Numeral IIs, indicating 2nd Corps.
This set of shoulder boards have very nice Hochrot (Scarlet) felt backing, which was the Waffenfarbe (corps color) during WWII for the Heer Artillery and Ordnance troops.
There is some wear and fraying to the bullion areas, but overall they are in great shape. Also, the gold wash on the pips and the roman numerals is retained very well. The red cloth backing is in great shape, and the original attachment tabs and loops are still present. A very nice set, ready to dress up any Heer Artillery Uniform!
