Original Item: Only One Available. This is an excellent condition WWII German Polizei (Police) NCO’s Pebbled Belt Buckle (Koppelschloß) with correct black leather belt. It is embossed with a central swas (hook cross), with a wreath around it bearing the motto Gott mit uns (God with us). It features a nice crimple pebbled aluminum body with an aluminized paint finish, which has an aluminum medallion insignia attached to the front. The buckle is in excellent condition, showing very little wear of any kind. There is no maker mark that we can see on the buckle.
The belt itself measures about 40” when fully extended, and is really still in great shape, with the brown finish well retained. It is marked 100 on the buckle end, for 100cm (39.4 inches), and still retains the leather tab with a double row of 7 holes for size adjustment, held on with the correct white stitching. The belt has a faint maker mark on the bottom of the fold over tab that holds in the end clip, which reads:
CARL BUSSE
MAINZ
1940
The black lack leather indicates the belt was for for the Ordnungspolizei (Order Police), the Schutzpolizei (Protection Police), or the Gemeindepolizei (Local Municipal Police), personnel.
Overall a great example of a hard to find WW2 German Belt.
