Original Item: The 1928 signal pistol was the dominant signal pistol in the German military until the introduction of the LP 42, and it remained in use AND being manufactured for many years after WW2. The post-war version was identical to the earlier pistol except that it added a safety. This sample has black polymer grips and comes with a carrying case that shows all the creative and engineering expertise one would expect from a German product.
The case, marked “Modl II/H” is made of black leather, with belt loops, an adjustable leather shoulder strap, and a leather pistol lanyard. It has provision for ten flares, and provides a set of small “windows”, consisting of a white leather strip with an opening for each flare position. A strip of paper can be colored to indicate the kind of flare in each pocket. A strip of clear plastic protects the paper. Cutouts are provided to make extraction of the flares easier.
Flares not included.
