Original Item: Only One Available. This German Military bugle is of all brass construction with nickel silver fittings, typical of German brass instruments. Showing use it bears substantial dents with some scrapes, as well as field repairs, but is absolutely authentic. It comes complete with its original mouth piece (stuck) and two suspension rings and with a pleasant tarnished finish overall.
The German Silver bell krantz is in good condition, as it is a harder alloy than brass, and so it would not be dented as easily. There is also a plate above the coat of arms, possibly of zinc, which has the manufacturer information:
O. F. Miether
Musikinstr. Fabrik
Braunschweig.
The Prussian Arms in an Oval shield displays a Spread Eagle wearing a Crown with F.R. to center. The eagle carrying a Sword and a Scepter in either claw.
