Original Items: Only One Lot of 9 Available. This is a wonderful lot of items which were more than likely brought home by American soldiers at the end WWI and WWII. They are in lovely condition and are perfect for the young collector who is looking to add a variety of medals and insignia to bolster their collections!
The Following Items Are Included:
– Bronze DRL Sports Badge: The badge retains almost all original color but unfortunately the pin catch is in rough condition but is complete.
– Police Visor Cap Eagle: First pattern, (Circa April 1934-June 1936), two piece, die stamped alloy construction, police visor cap eagle with a frosted washed finish. The nicely detailed, left facing eagle features extended, tapered, pointed tip, wings and is clutching a canted swas in its talons. The reverse of the insignia is a mirror image of the obverse and both soldered attachment prongs are intact.
– Silver Wound Badge: The badge is in excellent condition and is a solid back example. The reverse is nicely marked with a 10 and what appears to be initial.
– WWI Prussian Belt Buckle: The buckle is in great condition and is of a strange configuration. Instead of the usually attaching mechanism, this one has a spring hinge type and friction bar.
– Regiment Shoulder Strap Button and Lapel Ribbon Bar: The regiment button is marked with a 1 and the lapel device is in great condition with all colors still vivid.
– Silver Grade Infantry Assault Badge Stick Pin: The pin is complete and undamaged. There is little silver wash retained, but still noticeable.
– DRK Red Cross Cap Badge: The badge is in excellent condition and still retains both prongs.
– WW2 Iron Cross Engraved Aluminum Ring: We believe this ring to possibly be a post war made item, but it features the shape of an Iron Cross with a swas in the center.
All items come more than ready for further research and display.
