Original Items: only one set available. This set is just enchanting. These two items came together but are a complete contradiction in terms. The first is an original French leather bound edition of the New Testament, published in Paris in 1865.
The second is a most interesting very small caliber continental single shot pistol with characteristic barrel design of 5.5 in length with a unique muzzle. Referred to as “Garter” guns one can well imagine such a dainty and feminine weapon being tucked away on the inside of a Lady’s garter belt.
Clearly owned by a lady of divided occupations that we can only speculate about, a truly fascinating set of items from Paris of the 1860s.
