Recently received from an extensive Collection of Napoleonic Naval items this is a highly unusual all bronze heavy swivel cannon that mounted on the ship’s rail of a French Men-o-War to repel boarders. French Napoleonic Naval Espignole Flintlock Swivel Gun, made by Brezin in Paris, dated 19th year of the Revolution (1812). Left trunnion with monkeytail handle, 2” bore and made from naval bronze. This example is complete with flintlock mechanism mounted over the touch hole.

The Cannon measures 38″ in overall length and comes with a later made wood base to simulate the ship’s rail. Very heavy, but can be still shipped by small parcel carrier, an awesome weapon for any approaching long boat to contemplate. Very impressive, 100% original and now 200 years old!
