Original Item: Only One Available. This is an exceptional example of a rare WWII era Finnish smoke grenade, with a replaced handle. Not very many of these types of smoke grenades were made and were more of an experimental type than one that was regularly used. Information on these is extremely scant, so this would make for an excellent research project.
Unloaded or dummy grenades, artillery shell casings, and similar devices, which are cut or drilled in an BATF-approved manner so that they cannot be used as ammunition components for destructive devices, are not considered NFA weapons. This example is in total compliance and is NOT AVAILABLE FOR EXPORT.
The main advantage of these stick grenade types was the distance they can be thrown and the fact that they will not roll back towards you. Being able to throw a smoke grenade at greater distances would give you an upper hand on the battlefield, making it easier to screen your movements and mark targets.
This example is in wonderful condition and comes more than ready for further research and display.
