Original Item: Only One Available. This is an excellent condition WWII German Polizei (Police) NCO’s Pebbled Belt Buckle (Koppelschloß) with an excellent correct black leather belt. It is embossed with a central swas (hook cross), with a wreath around it bearing the motto Gott mit uns (God with us). It features a nice injection molded pebbled aluminum body with an aluminized paint finish, which has an aluminum medallion insignia molded into to the front. The buckle is in excellent condition, showing very little wear of any kind. There is no maker mark that we can see on the buckle.
The belt itself measures about 35 1/2” when fully extended, and is really still in great shape, with the black finish well retained, showing little to no signs of use. It is marked 90 on the buckle end, for 90m (35.4 inches), and still retains the leather tab with a double row of 7 holes for size adjustment, held on with the correct white stitching. The belt is marked on the adjustment tab with an SS manufacture code:
((VA)) 401/43 ((ᛋᛋ))
The presence of the ᛋᛋ doppelte Siegrune of the SS would usually indicate that these were intended for use with the Waffen SS, or possibly one of the Police units, as they were overseen by the SS. The black leather indicates the belt was for for the Ordnungspolizei (Order Police), the Schutzpolizei (Protection Police), or the Gemeindepolizei (Local Municipal Police), personnel.
Overall a great example of a hard to find WW2 German Belt.
