Original Excellent German Pre-WWII Army Heer EM/NCO Belt with Pebbled Aluminum Buckle by Linden & Funke – dated 1936 Original Items

Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very good condition Pre-WWII German Wehrmacht (Heer) Aluminum EM/NCO’s Belt Buckle (Koppelschloß) with an original black finished leather belt. The buckle is embossed with the Heer motto GOTT MIT UNS (“God (is) with us”) around the Wehrmacht Reichsadler (State Eagle). Nice aluminum construction box buckle with a pebbled background. The buckle is in good condition, and is a single piece injection molded and crimped example. It does show some surface wear on the raised areas, common due to the softer aluminum alloy.

This buckle was originally entirely painted standard early war Heer green, and this example actually retains much of the paint on the front side, which is usually completely worn away. The rear has even more finish, with wear near the clip fitting and on the edges. The back of the buckle by the clip hook shows a faint L. u. F. for Linden und Funke of Iserlohn, Germany. It also still retains the Pre-1941 leather tab, which is in great shape with fully intact stitching. There is still a clear maker marking inside a double oval:

The leather belt is in very good condition, and is an early war or tropical brown color, not the usual black seen during most areas of the war. There is very little wear and cracking, showing some age on the leather adjustment tab by the buckle. It measures about 41” when fully extended. It was originally stamped with 95 into the leather, but this was crossed out with marker and 105 added beside it. This would be for 105cm (41.33in), and doesn’t seem to have stretched much over the years. It also has a 37 date on the end clip next to an SO maker mark.

Overall condition is very good with an exception eye appeal! Ready to display!
