Original Item: Only One Available. This is a most attractive early Plug Bayonet that appears to have clearly seen some use, judging by the muzzle impressions still apparent on the wood hilt. The handle is quite attractive, looking to almost be made of burl walnut. Mounted in brass with a cross guard and pommel displaying 17th century helmeted heads. The blade, almost of a Bowie design, shows sharpening in a most pleasing manner and bears a very deep Armorer’s Mark the resembles a Crescent Moon with a face in profile. Measuring almost 19″ overall, the blade alone is 12″ in length.
A compelling Plug Bayonet ready to display!
