Original Item: The mainspring is the large V-shaped spring that attaches to the tumbler and drives the hammer. Designed for the pattern 1853 Enfield type rifle these mainsprings are handmade and will almost certainly require fitting. Style and manufacture style can vary significantly. Two examples are pictured to show variety.
