Original Item: Only One Available. This is one of the very few Brown Bess Muskets that came to us out of Nepal to have retained the complete original wood stock. Originally an East India Company Musket of about 1808 this was gifted, as military aid, to Nepal after the Treaty of Seguli in 1816 when Nepal came fully under British influence.
In amazingly good condition with brass furniture, the trigger guard bearing Gurkha Battalion Markings, lock plate has had the E.I.C. heart logo removed and replaced with the Nepalese Crest.
We offer Brown Bess parts sets including a new made stock for these model muskets but this is one of the few remaining that is totally original and now has been carefully cleaned and is ready to display.
