Original Item: Just released from Military Stores after 60 years in storage these are the Original WWII Commando issue scarves that were used as head warmers while in combat. Constructed of wool basically like a closed ended pillowcase, these were turned in on themselves and rolled up onto the forehead. This provided two-ply coverage to the skull and more to neck and brow.
Often worn in pairs the second was used like a cravat to keep the cold from the throat and neck areas. These are genuine and most are well marked in various ink stampings. Offered in nearly unissued, just stored condition, a great accessory to add to any British WW2 Collection.
One one cap comforter = Qty1 (two are photographed, so if you’d like two please order Qty 2)
Note: Due to long storage, almost all have at least one small hole, possibly from moth, or possibly from original manufacture.
