New Made Item: Copied directly from an original this is a fine example of an uncommon machete issued to WWII British Forces serving in the tropics. Originally made by Joseph Beal and Sons, Sheffield, this reproduction captures all the authentic attributes down to the hand assembly of the high carbon steel, slab wood scales and copper rivets. The factory sharpened, thick full profile tang blade tapers from 2″ to 2.75 wide. Includes an excellent heavy grade, leather scabbard with copper rivets just like the originals. These types of machetes saw a great deal of action with the Chindits.
