Original Item: One Set Available. We have never even seen a pair in this configuration before. They measure 8″ and are made of steel in circular form that was intended to be tied or clamped around regular Automobile Head Lamps during the WW2 “BLITZ” AIR RAIDS.
These examples blot out all light save for a three thin slivers that emerge from the hooded slots. These small slit windows ensured that minimal light was visible from above, a necessity during a night Air Raid, when any light source could become a target. While the light produced was small, it was still enough for slow speed navigation during the blackouts.
Nevertheless another great accessory Set from London’s WW2 BLITZ. Ready to display.
