Often, these damaged items fall victim to an overzealous collector wanted to be able to utilize these items in a different way, mostly lamps and the like. This lamp, which is functional, was made out of a British Mk 1 Brodie helmet and a Royal Flying Corps aerial bomb. Measures about 25 inches tall.
The aerial bomb itself is inert and unable to be used as a destructive device. It is completely void of any explosive content and is in compliance with the current BATF standards governing ordnance.
Not Available For Export.
The lamp is worn but with a great look to it. Both the aerial bomb and the helmet were painted with the same camouflage type scheme. Both appear to have been recovered from the field and has a good amount of deep rust and pitting.
A beautiful, functional lamp that comes more than ready for further research an display.
