Original Item: One-of-a-kind set. As it happens we had this officers WWI tunic which we purchased at The War & Peace Show in England in July 2015. It can be seen at this link:

We forgot that that the purchase contained more than just the tunic, and hastily sold the named tunic by itself! Now, we are offering his named pocket three draw telescope and his named silver card case.
The card case, made of silver plated white metal, is fully embossed, looks like it might have carried cigarettes but it is too thin and we were told it is for “visiting cards” much used during Victorian times through World War One but now a thing of the past.
The brass three draw telescope has clear optics, is 16.5 telescope when fully drawn, and still retains its leather wrapping on the main cylinder.
Both the brass telescope and silver case are finely engraved:
COL. J.BLACK
ROYAL ARTILLERY
1917
Clearly a man of quality, who felt obliged to take some of the niceties of life to war with him when his country called him to duty.
