Original Item: Only One Available. The First World War which started just 104 years ago in 1914 was initially a very patriotic war. All sorts of Regiments were raised, expanded and added Volunteer Battalions to help in the “Great Crusade” using the catch phrase:-
IT’LL ALL BE OVER BY CHRISTMAS!!
How wrong they were!
Here is a Regimental Bugle, of perfectly standard brass and copper construction made and marked by J. HIGHAM LTD. and dated 1914 and showing a Broad Arrow marking. This Bugle, which is totally authentic, has lain in an attic for probably 75 years and has the expected dings and dents from field use. Probably used in the trenches during that awful conflict.
Uncleaned and ready to display.
