Original Item: Only One Available This is a TOP OF THE LINE item that was “Private Purchase” for some upper class Infantry Officer during the era of World War One. (1914 – 1918). Officer’s were required to purchase much of their own equipment, and thus were able to get styles that were not normally issued to enlisted troops.
Made of top quality Cow’s leather in brown fitted with broad belt loop to rear as well as brass attaching hoop for Sam Browne cross straps as well as two suspension belts with “dog leash” style spring clip fittings to suspend from any leather body sling. In lovely strong condition. This holster is not as long as the typical .455 Webley holster, so it was most likely for one with a shorter barrel.
Totally unmarked but of the highest quality; most certainly dating to WW1.
