Constructed of a black steel case construction enclosed Lantern Bulb behind glass with an adjustable steel hinged cover. A rotary four-option illumination port, two with filter lenses two without in various sizes. A second hinged compartment houses the Morse code ?tapper? and a large compartment towards the back houses the battery. All complete (without battery pack) the unit is well marked “ARTHUR LYON & WRENCH LTD, SEARCHLIGHT ENGINEERS, WILLESDEN & WESTMINSTER, LONDON”, together with Government Patent numbers etc. Serial “No. 2544”. All of this comes complete with leather hand strap. A very hard to find part of British WW2 History.
