Original Item: Only One Available. Circa 1810-1820 this is not an official Naval issue Brown Bess although the lack of a ramrod throat mount may indicate that it was purpose built for Naval use. It has a standard issue trigger guard, British proofed 39″ barrel, “Crown over G.R.” and TOWER marked lock plate. This appears a totally standard Brown Bess of the era in a used but very presentable state.
The barrel is marked along the top:
ROYAL NAVAL DOCKYARD BERMUDA
This explains the absence of the ramrod throat mount, a very interesting musket, cleaned and ready to display.
