Original Item: Only One Available. This fine Pocket Percussion pistol is definitely a quality item, the frame being made entirely from German Silver, what we call Nickel silver. The pistol was made circa 1835 by the British Gunsmith D. BELL of YORK in the North of England, as marked on top of the barrel. The entire frame issmothered in foliate engraving, with a checkered walnut grip and Silver Lion Mask Butt Cap. Measuring 9 1/4″ in overall length, the DAMASCUS steel octagonal barrel measuring 4 1/4″.
The pistol features a old-away trigger that only exposes when the pistol is cocked, allowing easy storage in a pocket. The pistol bears British Proof markings and comes complete with i’s original steel ramrod stored under the barrel.
A fine quality Pistol for self defense by a YORK CITY maker who worked just 13 years, from 1827 until 1840. In great condition, cleaned and ready to display!
