Original Item: One of a Kind. This is a very nice coffee server of 18th Century Egyptian design, which appears to be made entirely of embossed Copper with a wood turned handle protruding from the side. The bulbous body heavily embossed and standing on three copper feet. Standing just 6″ tall with a 3 1/2″ diameter at its widest point. The wood handle slightly loose, but it is otherwise solid.

H.M.S. Zealous was a 74 gun 3rd Rate Ship of the line launcher in 1785 at Deptford in London built by BARNARD. At the Battle of ABOUKIR BAY better known as THE BATTLE OF THE NILE which took place August 1st-3rd 1798 her commander was CAPTAIN SAMUEL HOOD (1762 – 1814). She did remarkable work disposing of her first French opponent in just 12 minutes. The Nile was a great NELSON Success.

Here is a typically Egyptian Copper Coffee server no doubt obtained by the Officer’s of H.M.S. ZEALOUS after the battle and engraved to commemorate the Victory. Actually somewhat ugly but then again compelling with its associated history. Ready to display, or possibly use after a thorough cleaning.
