Original Item. Only One Available. This is quite early in style but probably dates from the early 1800’s. It is a British Native Cavalry Lance head that was originally mounted of a eight or nine foot haft and carried on horse back giving the trooper a tremendous reach when attacking both foot soldiers or opposing cavalry units. It is made of forged iron and has a three sided substantial blade of 8 1/2″ mounted onto a 6 1/2″ hollow and tapered haft cover that in turn mounts on the lance pole, often made of bamboo. Overall length of the iron head is 15″. The iron haft cover features two decorative copper bands.
Nice item from early British India, under the Raj. Ready to display or mount to a lance.
