Original Item: Only One Available. From the large 200 gun collection recently discovered after more than 100 years in storage comes this once very fine British double Barrel 12 bore Shotgun, made about 1845. W. & C. Scott started in 1834 and were well known for their better class shotguns. The name changed in 1858 to W. & C. Scott & Son and in 1897 they merged with P. Webley & Son to become the World famous WEBLEY SCOTT REVOLVER & ARMS COMPANY LIMITED.
This example is a better quality muzzle loader using the Percussion ignition system. It features back action locks and is marked SCOTT on both locks and LONDON on the barrel strap. Scroll trigger guard for better grip with silver rear pipe and escutcheon also in silver at the wrist. This bears scroll initials presumably of the original owner. Complete with brass tipped ram rod, we offer the gun uncleaned direct from storage for you to put into its best light, or display as is.
Historically significant being by the original SCOTT and ready to be loved and displayed!
