Original Items: Only one set available. The Coldstream Guards (COLDM GDS) is a part of the Guards Division, Foot Guards regiments of the British Army. It is the oldest regiment in the Regular Army in continuous active service, originating in Coldstream, Scotland in 1650 when General George Monck founded the regiment. It is one of two regiments of the Household Division that can trace its lineage to the New Model Army, the other being the Blues and Royals (Royal Horse Guards and 1st Dragoons).
This set consists of the following:
Red Melton cloth tunic with correct regimental buttons that is also displayed on the blue collar facings and Bandsman’s “winged” epaulettes. Named to bandsman Preston the inside label indicates a 40″ waist measurement. Unfortunately, there is some moth damage to rear of collar under the Bearskin helmet.
Dark blue coveralls (pants) with narrow red stripe to each leg.
White buff leather waist belt with general service brass buckle.
Bearskin helmet displaying red horsehair hackle and brass scaled chinstrap.
