Original Items: One of a Kind Set. Discovered in an English attic comes these “relics” of over 100 years ago. The Soldier, ” A.W. PEACHEY ” was a private perhaps as early as the Boer War but also during World war One in THE ROYAL ARMY MEDICAL CORPS.
He was probably a stretcher bearer or maybe later an Ambulance driver. In any event he spent years seeing service in the hope of saving lives not taking them.
We have his official dress tunic un-named but with his medal ribbons in place and parts of the tunic’s original paper label which appears to be dated “190?”. The tunic is made of dark blue wool and is in fine condition colored blue with maroon cuffs and piping bearing King’s Crown General Service buttons. In addition we have his Nickel Plated metal HIP FLASK with screw top complete marked:-
PTE. A. W. PEACHEY.

One rather suspects that living daily with the terrible Artillery and Gas wounds in World War One certainly merited the need for a HIP FLASK which I rather suspect saw considerable service. The bottom is hall-marked, indicating that it is made of Pewter, though we have not researched the markings. Definitely a top quality flask.
A nice WW1 era identified Set.
