Original Item. One Only. Dating from the 1960s, this is a rare and very unusual Bobby Helmet with a Ball top. Each County equipped its own constabularies so styles tended to vary. This example is from the WEST RIDING CONSTABULARY of Yorkshire.
The helmet comes complete with its original 50 year plus old leather liner and still retains its chin strap. The mounts, including the helmet plate are plated and display the “Rose” (White Rose of York) and the Queen’s Crown above, for Queen Elizabeth II. The leather liner has is marked MADE IN ENGLAND with the emblem of CHRISTYS LONDON over the left ear.
In very nice original condition, with very slight moth deterioration to bowl and liner, perfect to display.
