Original Item: Only One Available. Totally inert and demilitarized according to BATF guidelines with hollow body and inert fuse. This grenade cannot be converted to an explosive devise and is not available for export.
This is a very nice example of the Brazilian Odeti M1 offensive/defensive hand grenade. These were first Fielded in the 1960’s, and many were made by RUPTURITA S.A., such as this example was. It bears the company’s markings on the bottom of the grenade, and around the top. The design is mostly plastic, with a coil of wire around the outside to produce shrapnel.
The grenade is in very good shape, though it has a crack around the circumference of the upper body and the safety pin is missing. The fuze is otherwise complete and the fragmentation sleeve is in place. The body unscrews, so the interior can be inspected.
A great opportunity to pick up a very hard to find grenade!
