Original Item: Only One Available. This is a wonderful example of a Pre WWII era Belgian Model 1929 Gas Mask, often encountered as being incorrectly referred to as a Model 1931. This mask is in wonderful condition for the age and still retains the correct and original carrier bag.
The M29 was an Italian designed mask adopted by the Belgian army. This design and its later iteration were in service for more than twenty years. The design was also used by Pirelli on the industrial type L gas mask, which was almost identical.
During the Spanish Civil War, Sacic facepieces were repurposed and adapted to use an inlet-outlet piece and a kit similar to that of the later AG 20. Fortunately this mask still retains the Sacic facemask and was not repurposed.
There is quite a bit of wear present and the “balloon” is dried out and missing but is otherwise offered in wonderful condition.
Comes more than ready for further research and display.
