Original Item: Only One Available. Totally inert and demilitarized according to BATF guidelines with hollow body and inert fuse. This grenade cannot be converted to an explosive devise and is not available for export.
This is a very nice example of a Belgian PRB 423 controlled fragmentation grenade. The model was fielded in the 1970’s and 80’s and exported in a variety of markings and designations. It is a relatively small, plastic bodied grenade, housing a fragmentation sleeve under a plastic shell. While having an offensive counterpart, this grenade was marketed as containing specifically designed fragmentation resulting in high close-in efficiency and a short safety radius, allowing the grenade to be used in both defensive and offensive roles.
It is in great shape, with intact yellow paint stamps on the body, and additional yellow paint stamps on the top of the “spoon”. The fuze assembly unscrews, so the interior can be inspected.
A great opportunity to pick up a very hard to find grenade!
