Original Item: Only One Available. Now this is a fantastic grenade launcher set! At first appearance it looks to be an American produced example, but in fact it was produced by a Belgian company called Mecar. The launcher comes complete with its original leather storage case and an inert M29 practice rifle grenade.
The practice grenade is completely inert and in total compliance with the current BATF standards governing ordnance. It is unable to be rendered live again and cannot be used as a destructive device.
Not Available For Export.
The T-119 rifle grenade launcher was made by Mecar in Belgium in the 1950’s. It is a NATO standard, spigot rifle grenade launcher for the U.S. Rifle, Cal. 30, commonly referred to as the Garand. The integrated ladder sight is specifically calibrated for the Energa rifle grenade produced by Mecar. The U.S. tested the T-119 but decided against adoption while several other countries did adopt the launcher. It is in wonderful condition and is paired with its original leather carry case without any extensive damage or wear.
The Practice AT rifle grenade M29 consists of two parts: a body and a stabilizer tube-fin assembly of steel. A separately issued stabilizer tube-fin assembly is available for replacement purposes. The M29 grenade may be fired at a target without danger to the target other than from impact. The grenade has a maximum range of approximately 150 meters.
A wonderful pair of items ready for further research and display.
